چکیده

The use of microalgae to remediate raw effluent from brown crab aquaculture was evaluated by performing batch mode growth tests using separately the Chlorella vulgaris (Cv), Scenedesmus obliquus (Sc), Isochrysis galbana (Ig), Nannocloropsis salina (Ns), and Spirulina major (Sp). Removal efficiencies in were 100% for total nitrogen phosphorus all microalgae. Chemical oxygen demand (COD) remediations above 72%. Biomass productivity varied 20.9 mg L?1 day?1 (N. salina) 146.4 (C. vulgaris). two best algae C. S. they tested semi-continuous growth, reaching productivities 879.8 811.7 day?1, respectively. bioremediation with a transfer system consisting three independent containers compared single container. container had same capacity received weekly volume as together. remediation 3 much higher than one. supplementation NaNO3 improve nutrient removal microalgae’ capacity, positive results. 96% COD. obtained biomass composed 31 35% proteins, 6 8% lipids, 39 30% carbohydrates, composition these suggest that it can be used novel sustainable ingredients feeds. algal Cv Sc biostimulants germination wheat watercress, very promising results attained, increases index 175% 48% watercress 84% 98% wheat, biomasses also subjected torrefaction process 72.5 ± 1.7% char yields. biochars seeds (wheat watercress) bio-adsorbent dye solutions.

Applications of microalgal biofilms for wastewater treatment and bioenergy production

BACKGROUND Microalgae have shown clear advantages for the production of biofuels compared with energy crops. Apart from their high growth rates and substantial lipid/triacylglycerol yields, microalgae can grow in wastewaters (animal, municipal and mining wastewaters) efficiently removing their primary nutrients (C, N, and P), heavy metals and micropollutants, and they do not compete with crops ...

Fish processing wastes used as feed ingredient for animal feed and aquaculture feed

Fish wastes management has become a global problem from the last years. Dispose of seafood wastes cause environmental pollution. To overcome this issue these unwanted seafood products are used for the formation of animal feed and aquaculture feed. These unwanted products include small fish and those parts of fish which are not used as human food. These unwanted parts include viscera, head, fins...

Pleurotus biomass production on vinasse and its potential use for aquaculture feed

The vinasse is a by-product generated during the manufacture of alcohol from sugarcane fermentation. Rich in organic matter, it is known that the vinasse has the potential to be used as a source of nutrients for plants as well as microorganisms. In this study, the fungi Pleurotus sajor-caju, P. ostreatus, P. albidus and P. flabellatus were cultivated in vinasse and utilised as a complementary d...
